We ourselves, as
a family, choose to be here and do our
best. Most people do try their best, but a lot of us are not aware
of our true capabilities and talents.
It is when we are in extreme and demanding situations that we discover
our potentials.
Bringing up a child
with disability opens up new perspectives on life. As a family we
are forced to live each day as it is, with all its difficulties a
constant struggle with a deepened appreciation of the small things
we all take for granted. We loose all selfishness and try to do our
duty with full heart and mind.
Really our son, Joshua is helping us see beyond our smaller selves.
He needs a regular lifestyle, a routine involving catheterization
and enemas, regular check ups and monitoring of his condition, and
above all he needs lots of love; like we all do! We try our best,
but without meditation it would be harder.
