Chaitanya
S. Das has started from an early age his deep interest and study
of the two diametrical opposing forces, science and religion,
as a result he discovered that there is only one problem in life
and that is called 'Ignorance'.
He has been
researching Vedic spirituality and comparative religious, such
as Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, and Islam plus other
forms of beliefs for over 32 years in a variety of settings.
In order to
get the insights and realizations that are normally absent from
the ordinary academic atmosphere he travelled extensively from
South America, to the States, North Africa, Europe and India.
He has lived in an assortment of monasteries and ashrams in some
of India's holiest places such as Vrindavana, Mayapur, Varanasi,
Hrishikesh, Tirupathi, and Guru Vayu. On this long journey he
has met and consulted different Acharias (genuine masters on the
field of Spirituality) such as A.C Bhaktivendanta and Osho, He
was initiated as a Brahmin and studied and practiced yoga, focused
on Karma, Bhakti, Hatha, Jnana, and Kundalini yoga systems.
Originally
his main intention and top priority was to find the true nature
of the self, so he did not hesitate to visit opposite streams
of belief, by doing so, he crossed the line of traditional standards.
He employs
and has explored many Zen oriented healing arts such as: Reiki*,
Meditation, Bhuto Dance, Zen Painting, creative visualization,
music therapy, techniques for concentration, positive thinking,
vipassana, and Tai chi arts at Osho community in Pune (India).
He worked
closely with several Shaman teachers (Afro-Brazilian healers)
such as Mr. Ivan Trilla; and he continues to witness the power
and wonders of Faith and Positive thinking.
Chaitanya
admits that his efforts were oriented to master only one thing
'self-improvement', in doing so he discovered the need to exercise
love and compassion for all living beings. He studied Ayur veda
(the ancient system of Medicine) since 1975 under the guidance
of several re-known Vaidyas (Ayur vedic Physicians) such as Dr.
Suboth Jagdale, Dr. Ph. Kulkarni, and Dr. Rajendra Deshpande in
Pune, and special gratitude to Vaidya Dr. Upadhye Director of
the Astro Ayurvedic Clinic for his unique contribution to Jyotish
medica and Ayurveda.
He received
great inspirations from various other teachers such as Dr. Deepack
Choppra, Dr. David Frawly, Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Ranade, and Edward
Taravilda, Charles F. Haanel, Walter Atkinson, and Joe Vitale.
He also studied
jyotish for two years, but he admitted that 'jyotish is beyond
my capacity' although 'it helped me greatly to grasp the tip of
the iceberg of this vedic science'. He also studied the fundamentals
of Chinese medicine and modern medicine and various forms of 'Vibrational
Medicine' such as Homeopathy. Chaitanya has read hundreds of books
and continues to do so on these subjects and practices what they
taught for over thirty years.
Conclusion:
' Know the truth and the truth will set you free'
What
do I want to share?
To
share my experience in search of Truth, which only requires that
we be who we are and as we are, with a true heart rather than
seek to project an appearance or maintain some form in the outer
world. Just as no group can dispense or rule over life, just as
nobody owns the air, just as no group of artists can claim to
own art, so no one can claim to possess truth or govern the religious
lives of others. It is time we dispensed with trying to judge
the religious and spiritual life of people by the names, forms
and numbers of the outer world. We must take such political, geographical
and cultural barriers out of the realm of inner seeking, whose
only real purpose is to connect us with the infinite. Without
this our inner life is an hypocrisy, a reflection.
